David FaroRuiz, Managing Director of Preditec/IRM, was present last February 19 at the 1st International Workshop on Oil & Gas Reliability 2016.
On February 18, 2016, the CENTRO DE ESTUDIOS SUPERIORES ISLA DEL CARMEN brought together the most important leaders in reliability with the objective of sharing methodologies, tools, lessons learned, trends and the most current applications required by the oil industry in Mexico.
David Faro gave a presentation on "Improving key indicators for business management through holistic knowledge of the condition of assets":
The knowledge of the condition of an asset throughout its life cycle from the integration of information is a basic pillar in Asset Management. The support in strategic decision making that comes with holistic knowledge of the asset's state of health generates an improvement in key business indicators (OEE, Availability, MTBF, MTTR, etc) and in the efficiency of its management.

Academic Formation
Technical Telecommunications Engineer, Master in Commercial Management and Sales Management, Management Development Program (PDD), Master in Industrial Maintenance, University Expert in Maintenance of Industrial Means and Installations, University Expert in Predictive Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis, Vibration Analyst Category III ISO 18436.2.
Work Experience
Since its inception in 1990 he has been fully involved in the implementation of predictive maintenance techniques and technologies and in the design and implementation of condition based monitoring systems. He joined Preditec/IRM in mid 1997 as Sales Engineer, in 2005 he becomes Commercial Director and since 2013 his responsibility is extended to the Management of the Company.
Distinctions
The experience gained in the most significant industrial sectors allows him to develop one of his great passions: training. In this aspect, he participates as a regular trainer at the Mobius Institute and in Preditec/IRM courses, as well as a collaborating professor in Masters and Postgraduate courses in Industrial Maintenance. He has published articles in specialized magazines and presented papers in national and international seminars and congresses.
