This March we commit ourselves to the challenge of We Are Equalchallenge, framed within the different actions we are carrying out under the motto 12 Months & 12 Challenges. We want to give visibility to the significant technological advances that women are currently contributing to the field of science.
Our colleague Rubén López has conducted several interviews with women in science, all of them protagonists and great examples of innovation. Discover their history, steps and achievements.
María Viñas Peña
María Viñas Peña works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Visual Optics and Biophotonics Laboratory of the CSIC Institute of Optics, where she completed her doctoral thesis (PhD in Physics UCM) after studying Optics and Optical Engineering at UCM. His research focuses on the development of visual simulators to evaluate vision.

María Luisa López García is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid, and combines teaching with research, her two great passions. She is one of the most recognized authorities in her field in Spain where she is a member of the Specialized Group of Inorganic Chemistry (GEQI) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ).

Ana Sánchez Amores is a technologist at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona, where she has worked for the last 25 years with different responsibilities in the ICTS, Integrated Micro and Nano fabrication Clean Room of IMB-CNM: Head of the Dry and Wet Etching Area, Deputy Technical Director of IMB-CNM and Head of the ICTS, or Head of the Project Office.
