Preditec/IRM presents its range of vibration sensors for applications in high temperature environments.
The most commonly used vibration sensors in machines with bearings are accelerometers, the maximum working temperature of the standard models is 120ºC, but even if we mount these sensors in machines close to this temperature, the lifetime of the accelerometers is considerably reduced. Therefore, Preditec/IRM offers special sensors for high temperature, those marked with the letters HT (High Temperature). The price of high temperature sensors is exponential with the maximum temperature they can withstand, therefore the following models have been established:
- PRE1010MS (std.): up to 120ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT140: up to 140ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT162: up to 162ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT250: up to 250ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT260: up to 260ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT325: up to 325ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT482: up to 482ºC
- PRE1010MS-HT649: up to 649ºC
High temperature sensors are applied to hot gas air fans, hot fluid pumps, steam or gas turbines, drying area of paper making machines, etc.
When selecting vibration sensors, more than just the temperature range must be taken into account, such as frequency range, mounting mode, compatibility with the measuring equipment, humidity conditions... Therefore, we recommend to contact one of our engineers specialized in vibration measurementinstrumentation who will help you to solve your specific case.
