When some fifteen years ago we fearfully observed the risks of short-term management in companies, we were sowing what we are now reaping: ruined emblematic companies and the public administration mortgaged and mortgaging the future of companies by transferring the results of their management to them via taxes.

We are closing 2012, which will go down in history as one of the worst in economic history. But in the face of this terrible panorama, there are companies that are taking advantage of the opportunities that are presenting themselves outside Spain and far from being discouraged, they are crossing our borders to win and resolve projects with the good work they have been doing.

We are exploiting Spanish experience and common sense as a management model for projects of all kinds and are already benefiting from it.

In this edition we highlight an interesting interview with Mr. Antonio Ordóñez Guerrero, a reference in Spain in the world of maintenance, in which the current and future situation of industrial maintenance is analyzed. On the other hand, we analyze the moment of evolution and reduction of the cost of technologies to apply continuous monitoring systems in critical machinery. It is time to evolve towards automation in data collection for machinery monitoring. We also analyze why some predictive plans do not obtain the expected results and how the most common errors can be avoided.
