PROJECT OBJECTIVE
LIDAR, the key piece
María Zambrano station is a space through which millions of people circulate and millions of data are generated. Thanks to technological advances in recent years, it is possible to convert this data into valuable information to improve the level of satisfaction and the experience of each user, as well as to improve the environmental impact by improving designs, controlling energy and water consumption in real time and waste management.
The project is part of the 5G Andalusia Pilot initiative and funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through red.es.

How we made it happen
3D Surveying
Phase 1 of the project is mainly based on the scanning of the station and its annexes using Lidar technology and the acquisition of high-resolution spherical images.
This "scan" will return a color and geopositioned 3D point cloud that will allow us to develop an accurate digital model of the station as well as a list of all existing network assets (which will also facilitate operation and maintenance).
