PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Infrared thermography, the key piece
Forest fires are a cross-cutting problem that needs to be addressed from a multisectoral perspective; their recurrence and intensity lead to the degradation of forest ecosystems through the loss of natural, cultural and economic values. In the defense against fires it is necessary to work in advance, considering not only the changing climate scenarios, but also a forest territory in permanent ecological and social transformation. Fire management must adapt to these changes and consider them in future scenarios.
Among the services currently provided in fire-fighting campaigns is the aerial coordination service, which is carried out by qualified and accredited technicians in coordination and observation aircraft (ACO), equipped with image capture and transmission systems.
