iVib NB-IoT is the new solution to machinery monitoring that takes advantage of the LTE network of data service providers such as Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, etc. to communicate monitored points through new IoT technologies.
What advantages does the new NB-IoT communications technology offer us?
- Wide coverage, even in places such as basements.
- Low cost of connectable equipment.
- Much lower connection fees.
- Minimal energy consumption, longer battery life.
- Mass connection of sensors.
- Minimal cost of deployment of sensors and monitoring modules by avoiding fiber optic or copper cabling to carry the signals and monitored data to the servers that store the information.
Preditec offers this new technology to monitor critical machinery with the following advantages:
- Immediate installation and start-up (plug&play).
- No communications installation is required, it takes advantage of the network of communications providers such as Vodafone, Movistar, Orange and others.
- Immediate (multi-user) access to information is provided by the Asset Web Monitor (AWM) platform.
- Alerts about bugs in development are generated automatically.
- Integration: this system supports measurement points for vibration and other parameters.
- The system itself has a historian and diagnostic tools.
- Connectivity: the information generated is integrated into other existing systems in the plant (DCS, MES, CMMS, ERP, PI...).
- The system is modular and can be contracted under the SaaS model, which allows installations of any number of monitored points.
- IIoT monitoring: Data flows from sensors to the AWM platform where it is converted into useful information to know the status of productive assets.
