Preditec and HIKMICRO Iberia donate six thermographic cameras to the Polytechnic University of Valencia, to help the victims of the DANA.

Preditec, a company specialized in predictive maintenance solutions belonging to Grupo Álava, together with its technological partner HIKMICRO Iberia, leader in thermal imaging technology, have donated six thermographic cameras to the Polytechnic University of Valencia to collaborate, together with the Official College of Architects of Valencia, in the relief efforts for those affected by the recent floods caused by the DANA that have impacted so severely in the Valencian Community.

This donation will allow the Polytechnic University, together with the Official College of Architects, both of Valencia, to enable its professionals to use advanced thermography tools to assess and detect moisture problems in affected infrastructures. The thermographic cameras have already been handed over to the UPV's Heritage Restoration Institute and their use will facilitate the detection of hidden damage caused by humidity and other structural deterioration, helping to identify and prioritize intervention needs in the affected areas.

The camera models chosen were the M20W with a 50°×37.2° lens and the M20 with a 25°×18.8° lens. Both devices offer high resolution images, accurate temperature detection and high thermal sensitivity, allowing rapid identification of potential problems in the buildings concerned. These two complementary models cover all inspection needs. They also stand out for their ability to capture images quickly and analyze them in real time, providing detailed reports and optimizing problem detection.

According to Ángel Lezana, Thermography Product Manager at Grupo Álava/Preditec, "contributing our thermal imaging cameras to the efforts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia is an opportunity to put our technology at the service of the people and communities affected by the recent DANA. We are proud to be able to support the work of the professionals on the ground. This donation is an expression of our commitment to society, and we hope that this equipment will facilitate the recovery process and help families and communities resume their lives with safety and confidence."

For his part, José Esteban Capilla, rector of the Polytechnic University, expressed his gratitude: "The collaboration of companies like Preditec and HIKMICRO Iberia is essential at times like this. These thermography cameras will be a valuable tool for our professionals and will allow us to make more accurate diagnoses, which will help us to identify problems and work on efficient solutions for the affected infrastructures."

Alicia García, Head of Marketing and Communication at HIKMICRO Iberia, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. "At HIKMICRO we believe in social responsibility and the ability of technology to improve lives. By providing these thermography cameras, we hope to make a tangible contribution to rehabilitation efforts and help affected communities recover as quickly as possible."
