Our solutions for the University of Extremadura

The School of Industrial Engineering is a university teaching center integrated in the University of Extremadura and located in the campus of Badajoz. It works through several research groups, among which there is a group specialized in materials. The latter covers the following lines of research:

• Materials analysis and characterization
• Development of materials for biomedical applications
• Preparation and applications of carbonaceous materials
• Processing of advanced ceramic materials
• Mechanical contact properties of materials
• Recycling, reuse and recovery of wastes

Both scientific-technical and strategic reasons require the acquisition of a desktop platform for tribological multi-testing and instrumented indentation, which will be supplied by Álava Ingenieros | Grupo Álava. It will complement the existing tribometers and mechanical testing machines. It is a multidisciplinary research equipment that can be of great use to research groups from various areas of knowledge or lines of work in the field of Tribology and indentation (mechanical properties of materials). It will contribute to promote the establishment of a mechanical properties laboratory at the University of Extremadura that can become a national and international reference.

Given its versatility, there are many lines of research already existing, some incipient, at the University of Extremadura that will certainly benefit from the acquisition of a desktop platform for tribological multi-testing and instrumented indentation that we offer from Álava Ingenieros | Grupo Álava.
