This course prepares the student for qualification as a category 2 certified thermographer.
The participant will learn about infrared thermography topics to increase their knowledge of physics, heat science and infrared measurement equipment and its application.
As a level 2 thermographer, the participant can provide guidance to category 1 personnel in the areas of equipment selection, techniques, limitations, data analysis, corrective actions and reporting.
Lasting 40 hours, the course includes theory, hands-on camera practice and case studies prepared on alternate days. This training ends with a written exam (without consultation) that includes test-type questions and practical image interpretation on the last day. The maximum duration is as defined by the relevant certification standards.

- People with professional technical training, such as technicians, engineers, consultants or researchers working in maintenance, building inspection, mechanical or electrical applications, production or R&D.
- People with several months of professional experience in thermography.
- People with experience in the handling and elaboration of infravermelhos cameras reports.
- Holders of a Level 1 certificate.
- People who need Category 2 Certification for guidance and supervision of other thermographers or are interested in a deeper understanding of thermography.
