After maintenance works, the unit under analysis began to present vibration values in the Coupling Side shaft bearing located in the "Risk of Damage" zone according to the applicable regulations, resulting in one occasion in the breakage of the impeller shaft in the bearing area.
The pump is part of the circulating water system of a two-unit poker plant. The twin pump exhibited stable behavior under similar operating conditions, and remained in this state throughout the course of the tests.
