Happy Holidays!
On November 27th, the Alava Group offered employees a contest, "Draw a Christmas Christmas".
Raúl Ortega's creativity was the winner.
We interviewed him:
Can you tell us what you wanted to reflect in this Christmas Greeting?
The creative idea has arisen from this atypical year that we have all experienced, in which the company has been able to give the necessary tools to each and every one of the employees who are part of Grupo Álava to be able to work remotely, each one from home.
Does it represent a specific moment?
In the christmas we see a starry night in December (which could be Christmas Eve) in which each family is at home, alone or accompanied (always in compliance with the law).
Some of our clients know our offices in Madrid, but others don't. Can you explain what illuminated buildings are?
At the top right we see the two headquarters that the companies of the Alava Group have in Madrid, both crowned by their logos simulating stars and with flashes of light that symbolize the union of all of us who are part of the group despite the distance.
And what are all the details?
In the very meticulous detail of the drawing we will see familiar scenes through windows, clothes hanging out, parks, blinds down, lights on, church roofs or important buildings such as the four towers of Madrid, but in reality the drawing could be of any city where the group is.
What technique did you use?
It is made in pencil and colored with wood paints, I have also used some cuttings since collage was allowed and I think that this way it also gives more realism.
Did you do it by yourself, or did you have help?
For the realization of the christmas I have had the help of my sister, working together during these last days, from brainstorming to the final result has been fun, I send you some pictures of the process.
Thank you Raul for your time, for participating and telling us about your experience.
Christmas card creation process
And you, have you made a card to congratulate your loved ones these days? Would you share it with us?
