From traditional CMS to Performance Management of renewable Assets

On October 4, our colleague Ignacio Cienfuegos, Corporate Key Account Manager, Energy sector at Grupo Álava, participated in the Operational Analysis of Wind Farms 2023 seminar organized by the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE). In this seminar, he had the opportunity to share Grupo Álava's vision of how companies should evolve towards software platforms/solutions (APM) that provide companies with value beyond the status of the condition of the assets (CMS), which greatly supports efficient decision making in the entire O&M field.

Aspects such as cybersecurity policies, which too often represent a brake on the development of organizations, and which should be compatible with SaaS solutions on the market (which must be required to meet the appropriate standards), or the need to make the necessary information available in real time to the decision-maker, without intermediate reporting processes, spreadsheets, or the use of different and multiple O&M tools, which consume time and produce information silos, are the basis of a solution/platform approach to renewable asset performance management.

At the Alava Group, based onPreditec 's more than 20 years of experience , and working closely with our clients in the Energy sector, for the last 5 years we have been developing our proposal - MonoMPlatform-which, taking advantage of all the potential and benefits of a SaaS tool, provides value via ROI for O&M that both the CTO -COO of the companies in the sector and their teams will undoubtedly find interesting.

The changes we are seeing in the renewable sector invite, at the very least, a reflection on how to approach asset performance management from the O&M perspective. A careful look at the market for these solutions, seeking offers that are complemented by proximity and experience in advanced services to the sector, can be key to finding the optimal solution for each company.
