The priority objective of the EQC2021 call will be the acquisition, installation and commissioning of scientific and technical equipment managed by joint services of institutions capable of providing an open and efficient specialized service.

Anew call for Scientific and Technical Equipment (EQC2021) will be published in the BOE in June. The presentation will be open to all interested persons.

The priority objective of the EQC2021 call will be the acquisition, installation and commissioning of advanced scientific and technical equipment. The common services where the equipment is installed must have a centralized management model, human resources to service the equipment, complementary equipment to those requested, a management plan for the resources and public access to them with their corresponding fees.

Budget: It will have €180 million from the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism funds. These funds are no longer regionalized as the ERDF funds were. Therefore, there is no guarantee of receiving a similar amount of aid to that received in previous calls for proposals.

Type of aid: In the form of a grant, which may reach 100% of the equipment purchase price (VAT excluded).

Beneficiaries: Universities, Public Research Organizations and other public R&D centers.

Individual project amounts: Between 400,000 and 1,500,000 euros per application (previously between 100,000 and 1,000,000 euros).

Project characteristics: individual (cannot be coordinated). DNSH (Do Not Significant Harm) principle, a principle of respect for the environment that projects must comply with and which is exclusive.

Expected publication date: June

Deadline for submission of applications: three weeks.

Execution of the aid: started in 2021 and with a completion date of 12/31/2023.
