Dynamic vibration inspection covers a wide range of mechanical and even some electrical asset failure modes.
One of the critical components in the kinematic chains are the bearings, being able to diagnose failure in any of its components through vibratory analysis.
Bearing failure, in its earliest stage, excites the higher frequencies and as the deterioration increases, that range of excitation goes down until it reaches the speed range, so different parameters need to be monitored to know its state of health. These parameters can be the global value in speed, global value in acceleration and specific parameters filtered for impact detection. Depending on the evolution of these parameters, the state of deterioration of the bearing in its different phases can be diagnosed.
