We will participate next 15th in the online conference on maintenance in the chemical and process industry organized by the Spanish Maintenance Association - AEM.
Brief description:
- Maintenance in the digital environment: Maintenance digitalization processes.
- Need for new profiles in Maintenance. Support of 4.0 enabling technologies in maintenance education and training.
- Operation-maintenance approaches in companies
- Applications in the different maintenance specialties
What will our colleagues Mª José Gómez and Tomás Ciudad talk about?
"Anticipate fate: don't leave the digitization of your maintenance plan to chance."
The digital transformation in which we are immersed is bringing important changes to all aspects of life. Although we have assimilated these changes into our personal lives almost organically, much remains to be changed in more traditional sectors such as industry. Due to its complexity and criticality, the industrial sector has always been somewhat reluctant to adopt new technologies, something especially visible in the IT sector, whose progress in recent years has been enormous, but whose industrial adoption has not kept pace across the board. The latest wave of technology can help us to reduce this gap.
The IoT (Internet of Things) is making it possible to extract information from the most remote and inaccessible places. Data analytics enhanced with artificial intelligence is bringing the scientific method, based on facts and data, to decision making. Cloud computing is making it possible to centralize information in a robust, secure and delocalized way, accessible from anywhere in the world. This is opening up new opportunities in the maintenance sector, which has traditionally been an isolated department and is gradually becoming a fundamental pillar in the value chain of any production process.
More data, more varied data, and virtually unlimited storage are making it possible to better understand how things work, why they fail, and how to avoid it.
We are seeing the birth of a new approach to maintenance, which, centered on the person, will connect both the industrial process and the machinery that is carrying it out.
